It's New England 1630 (decades before the Salem witch trials of 1692) and a farmer takes his family to live in the wilderness after being threatened with banishment from the community. Then strange and ominous things start to happen. It's a film with "terrifying age-old concepts of witchcraft,  black magic, and possession".
